Technological progress is an important contribution, if not the only hope, for solving many of our societal challenges, from combating global warming and pollution to managing dwindling natural resources, ensuring access to clean water and good food for all, and providing affordable healthcare for a growing and ageing population.
Innovation is one of the key drivers of our prosperity. Innovative products and services are an important differentiator for Switzerland’s economy, which is characterized by high labor costs and a strong dependence on exports. Thanks to our country’s excellent schools and universities and a highly qualified workforce, the boundary conditions for innovation in Switzerland are excellent.
CSEM develops deep tech solutions that can be transferred to industry to support their businesses and thus the Swiss economy. Its technologies also address imminent societal challenges. Participants in this event will gain insights into some of CSEM’s key R&D activities, including medical technologies and renewable energies.
